The project “RECOVERY OF THE BEACHES OF THE PORT AND THE MOJÓN, T.M. DE PILAR DE LA HORADADA (ALICANTE)” was drafted in response to the need for environmental improvement and coastal regeneration, of this part of the coastal facade of the municipality of Pilar de la Horadada (Alicante).
The study section is composed of two action areas, one corresponding with the beach of Puerto and the other with the beach of El Mojón, both located in Torre de la Horadada.
The scope of the actions planned by the Subdirectorate General for Coastal Protection, through the Projects and Works Service of the Provincial Coastal Service in Alicante, has a twofold objective:
– Defining the actions needed to stop the decline of the Puerto and Mojón beaches.
– Recover a stable beach width with material of similar characteristics to the existing ones.
With these two objectives in mind, the design of the ideal configuration appropriate to the objectives pursued has been carried out in the form of a project for the implementation of the proposed actions.
