Supervision project for the Studies, Designs, and Construction for the Reinforcement and Rehabilitation of six bridges located in the Greater Metropolitan Area (Lot 2). This project has been awarded by INCOFER.
Among the most relevant activities carried out during the initial phase of the project were the verification, inspection, and visual survey of the existing infrastructure on the six bridges located in the Greater Metropolitan Area (GAM). The bridges evaluated are the following:
- El Fierro bridge
- El Museo bridge
- Atlántico bridge
- Calderón bridge
- Los Negritos bridge
- El Español bridge
With the aim of identifying opportunities for improvement in various aspects, such as:
- Physical conditions of railway stations
- Railway infrastructure (tracks, drainage, signaling)
- Accessibility and safety for users
- Elements of urban planning and immediate environment.
The objective of rescuing the National Railway Network seeks to restore the structural capacity and extend the useful life of the structures that make up said network, which for this purpose requires signing a contract for detailed inspection services, structural diagnosis, structural repair and intervention of runoff control works for the structures detailed in this notice, as well as various complementary works.

Supervision of Construction:
The scope of INCOFER’s contracting corresponds to several key areas within railway engineering and public infrastructure.
- Structural design of the reinforcement or rehabilitation, as the case may be.
- Detailed construction design (plans, calculation reports, technical specifications).
- Adapting the design to current and future railway conditions (train type, load, speed, etc.).
- Possible adjustments to railway alignment or leveling at bridge approaches.
