Detailed description of the project
The following works are planned:
- New system of sewerage pipes (7,200 m) and pumping stations: due to the inadequacy of the current general sewer compared to the growth forecasts of the municipality, the construction of a network covering all the new urban areas, the beach core and the village of Xilxes. A system consisting of 8 sections of conduits is established.
- Construction of the new Xilxes W.W.T.P. plant of 4,000 m3/day (20,000 h-e). Composed
of:
WATER LINE. Pre-treatment which includes: coarse pit, head pumping, thinning-screening (2 channels equipped with media grating and fine sieve) and an emergency channel, two desanding-degreasing channels, sand sorter, grease concentrator; one (1) carousel type biological reactor of 7,289 m3; two cylindrical gravity decanters of 23 m inner diameter and 3.90 m useful height.
SLUDGE LINE: sludge pumping; gravity thickener concreted in situ, 8m in diameter; sludge conditioning (polyelectrolyte); sludge dehydration with centrifugal decanters of 12 m3/h; sludge transport to hoppers (2 hoppers of 30m3).
