Conduct a technical study of the Trujillo Bay coastline’s behavior to understand recent changes (erosion and sand accumulation) and generate recommendations enabling the municipality to manage and protect this resource sustainably, taking into account both climate change and human activities.
Key Tasks to be Performed:
Coastal Analysis: Diagnose the causes (natural and human) of erosion and beach changes.
Environmental Assessment: Study natural factors—such as currents, winds, vegetation, and mangroves—that affect the bay’s balance.
Recovery Proposals: Develop guidelines and designs to protect the coastline, restore the beaches, and guide the future restoration of the coastal shipping pier.
Dissemination: Conduct workshops to share findings and raise awareness among the community and authorities regarding the importance of coastal management.
In summary, the consultancy will provide the technical foundation for making decisions that protect the bay, a crucial asset for Trujillo’s tourism and climate resilience.
