Hurricanes Eta and Iota, which struck in November 2020, affected a large part of Nicaragua’s national territory, particularly the Caribbean region. A recovery program for indigenous communities was developed as a solution, involving the construction of 147 homes designed to ensure resilience against such natural phenomena. VIELCA was tasked with supervising the housing construction, ensuring high quality standards while respecting the local population’s cultural identity.
