The wastewater from the municipality of Calamocha was discharged into the Jiloca River with the consequent ecological and landscape impact.
The Calamocha Wastewater Treatment Plant was built by the Aragonese Water Institute, under the government of Aragon, and co-financed with ERDF funds from the European Union.
The calamocha WWTP is located about 2000 meters from the town, on land on the right bank of the Jiloca River.
