The urbanization and development of the industrial estate of Sagunto, with industries related to metallurgy and fuels, among others, is presented as an opportunity for the development of a hazardous and non-hazardous industrial waste transfer center (CTR) close to it, allowing a more economical waste management.
The CTR will be located on an area of 20,190.75 m2 and has an approximate investment of €1,500,000.00.
The planned facilities are as follows:
- Office building, with reception area and visits, toilets and changing rooms, offices and meetings, archive and
laboratory. - Workshop and storage of machinery, adjacent to the office building and taking advantage of an old
warehouse of the plot. - Bulk vessel, where non-hazardous waste will be stored in bulk.
- Ship for sorting and separating non-hazardous waste, paper – cardboard, plastics, wood,
scrap, glass, etc. - Non-flammable hazardous waste, where it will be stored in drums, bags, bottles and
1,000 l containers. - Flammable hazardous waste, where it will also be stored in drums, bags, bottles and
1,000 l containers. - Shipment of goods, where the waste classified in the above ships will be
prepared for shipment to specialized managers, treatment or disposal plant.
